Lovers of literature gathered to listen to local writers share their work, creating a silent and captivating atmosphere.
The series, located in the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, serves as a celebration of creative writing, featuring three professors and writers from the University of Idaho: Michael McGriff, Thomas Dai, and Alexandra Teague.
The professors read their personal writing from published books and standalone poetry, followed by a Q&A session where attendees asked about writing tips and specific aspects of their work.
Thomas Dai, an essayist and assistant professor at UI, read passages from his new book, "Say My Name but Say It Slow," at the event.
