Panzenbeck Projected to Win Mayor Election in Glen Cove City
With nearly all votes counted, Pam Panzenbeck is likely to win her third term as mayor, receiving 56.42% of the vote against Democratic candidate Marsha Silverman.
The city council is expected to remain evenly split, with three Democrats and three Republicans, despite initial projections of a Republican majority.
Both parties acknowledged that absentee ballots would likely affect the outcome, and the vote totals had not yet been made official.
The election results are subject to change until the absentee ballots are counted and the totals are officially confirmed by the Nassau County Board of Elections.
