Romsey Baptist Church has unveiled a new sensory garden, which was officially opened by Rebecca Beer, wife of the church's former minister, the late Jonathan Beer.
The event, held on Saturday, September 27, began with a welcome from current minister Fiona Blaker, who thanked all contributors to the project.
A desire to provide a sanctuary where hearts can be still, where minds can find peace, and where souls can be renewed in the presence of our Creator.
Fiona Blaker blessed the garden and offered it to God's service, after which Rebecca Beer cut the ribbon to declare the garden open.
In her speech, Rebecca spoke about her late husband's passion for the Romsey community and his love of nature and gardens.
The garden is the result of months of work and is intended to be a peaceful space for the community to enjoy.
