Jakapong “Anne” Jakrajutatip, co-owner of the Miss Universe Organization and CEO of JKN Global Group, is wanted by Thai authorities after failing to appear in court in connection with an ongoing fraud case.
The Criminal Court in Thailand issued an arrest warrant for Jakrajutatip after she did not attend a scheduled hearing on November 29. The case involves accusations of corporate fraud linked to JKN Global Group’s financial dealings. Reports indicate that creditors and investors have raised concerns about the company’s financial transparency and outstanding debts, leading to legal scrutiny.
“The warrant was issued because the defendant failed to appear without a valid reason,” Thai authorities confirmed.
JKN Global Group, which acquired the Miss Universe Organization in 2022, has faced mounting financial pressure following a downturn in profits and missed debt payments. The company’s shares have also plummeted over the past year.
Jakrajutatip, a prominent Thai businesswoman and transgender rights advocate, has not publicly commented on the current charges. Local media reports suggest she may be negotiating with creditors to restructure company debts.
If Jakrajutatip does not comply with the court’s summons, she may face detainment upon discovery by authorities. The case continues to unfold as legal and financial representatives work on possible resolutions.
“Authorities are coordinating further steps per legal procedures,” said an official source.
