JBS Faces US Lawsuit Over False Climate Claims
Mighty Earth accuses meat giant of greenwashing ahead of COP. Brazil's JBS has been accused of making false climate claims in a US lawsuit filed by advocacy group Mighty Earth.
The lawsuit against JBS's US unit is the latest in a string of cases against companies over allegations of "greenwashing".
A similar case was filed against oil major TotalEnergies in a French court last week. New York Attorney General Letitia James is scheduled to submit an amended complaint in a similar case.
