Christian Genocide Claims Linked to Nigeria's UN Stance
Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, has suggested a connection between recent claims of Christian genocide in Nigeria and the country's diplomatic position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Nigeria's statement at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) delivered by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, influenced the narrative, according to Bwala.
Bwala stated that 24 hours after Nigeria condemned the inhumane treatment in Gaza and advocated for a two-state solution, a campaign claiming Christian genocide began, notably mentioned by comedian Bill Maher.
