Pope Speaks to Young Adults on Sailboat about Peace
Pope Leo XIV traveled to board the "Bel Espoir" sailboat, meeting with young adults from various Mediterranean countries and religions.
The sailboat, whose name means "beautiful hope", had visited 30 ports with rotating crews of 25 young adults, discussing faith and peace challenges.
The world needs "signs, witness, impressions that give hope"
Pope Leo XIV emphasized that living and working together on the boat has taught the importance of dialogue, considering the boat's efforts a "sign of hope for the Mediterranean and the world".
The young adults spent a month as crew members, sailing and meeting their peers at different ports.
