Treatment Center Cited for False Fire Alarms
A Schuylkill County treatment facility, Gaudenzia Foundation Inc., has been cited for nearly two dozen false fire alarms in a year.
According to court documents, between October 15, 2024, and October 14, 2025, the facility's alarm system transmitted 20 false alarms from their location on Broad Street in Fountain Springs.
Under Pennsylvania law, more than three false alarms within a 12-month period are not permitted, and the organization will be fined for the incidents.
No person or entity may cause or permit more than three false alarms within a consecutive 12-month period.
The facility was cited by Butler Township Police on October 14, 2025.
