STONE Announces Second Album AUTONOMY and Releases New Single
STONE has released a new single, "MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO", which is described as "gritty, unfiltered and restless". The single is taken from their upcoming second album, AUTONOMY, set to be released on February 20, 2026, via V2.
The Liverpool band, consisting of Fin Power, Elliot Gill, Sarah Surrage, and Alex Smith, has stated that AUTONOMY is their "most collaborative, personal and real music yet".
MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO is about "temptation and the chaos of partying when control slips away. The birdy in your ear screams for more and the mirror only reflects something you do not want to see. The chant of 'MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO' captures that loss of control.
The song also touches on the industry and the tension between authenticity and the image that media prefers, using sharp metaphors to convey this message.
AUTONOMY is the follow-up to STONE's debut album, Fear Life For A Lifetime, released last year.
