Guide to the Head of the Charles Regatta
The Head of the Charles Regatta returns for its 60th anniversary, with races starting Friday at 7:45 a.m.
Races will run until just before 11 a.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 7:45 a.m. and running through late afternoon. Click here for the full schedule.
For a great experience, veteran attendees recommend wearing walking shoes and taking a stroll along the course to take in the sights and sounds.
- Avoid parking in one place and instead walk up and down the course.
- Be prepared for crowds, especially farther down the course.
- Check out hospitality areas, such as the Weld Exhibition, for food and drinks.
- Riverbend Park offers a good viewing area for the races between the Weeks Footbridge and the Anderson Bridge.
Veteran attendees say it's worth battling crowds to check out the many hospitality areas.
