Cyclist Killed in Collision with Car
A 23-year-old cyclist was killed in a collision with a car in Barendrecht on Sunday.
The fatal accident occurred at an equal-priority intersection on Noldijk, where the cyclist likely approached from the right, according to police.
The impact threw the man off his bicycle, and despite attempts to resuscitate him, he died from his injuries.
The driver of the car was arrested as part of standard procedure following deadly traffic accidents.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
