Michael Wainwright to Succeed Martin St Quinton as Chair of Cheltenham Racecourse
The Jockey Club has announced that Michael Wainwright will succeed Martin St Quinton as Chair at Cheltenham Racecourse from May 2026.
Michael Wainwright, a lifelong Jump racing fan, has been on Cheltenham Racecourse’s committee since 2019. He co-owns several horses, including Ga Law, winner of the 2022 Paddy Power Chase.
As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Michael joined his family business, Boodles, in 1984, and served as Managing Director for many years before becoming Executive Chairman in 2024.
Michael brings a wealth of experience to the role.
