A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and possessing drugs.
Chad Everett Swope, 48, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of paraphernalia and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, both class C misdemeanors; and possession of methamphetamine with a prior dealing conviction, a level 5 felony.
On Feb. 24, an Indiana State Police trooper stopped a vehicle with an inoperable headlight and identified Swope as the driver. Swope showed physical signs of intoxication and failed two field sobriety tests. A K9 unit alerted to illegal drugs inside Swope's vehicle.
