The Tasmania wind project has been waiting for an EPBC decision since May, following several changes to its design.
The St Patricks Plains wind project, proposed for a site in Tasmania's Central Highlands, has been delayed for the fifth time, with a new deadline for a decision set for November 28.
The project was originally designed as a 67-turbine site, but has been scaled back to 47 turbines, with a capacity of 291 megawatts (MW).
A government spokesperson stated that the delays were requested by developer Ark Energy, which acquired the project in 2022 from Epuron.
Ark Energy has been contacted for comment on the delay.
