Texas GOP Censures Lawmakers
The Texas GOP voted to censure five of its lawmakers in the Texas House, but stopped short of banning them from the 2026 primary ballot.
The State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) met on Saturday to consider reprimanding 10 Republican House members for being insufficiently conservative.

The SREC rejected half of the censures and dismissed attempts to bar them from the March primary, signaling a deescalation of intraparty tension.
