Lockheed Martin's Sikorsky subsidiary has unveiled an S-70U-Hawk unmanned aircraft system (UAS) prototype based on a repurposed UH-60L Black Hawk.
The U-Hawk features 25% more cargo space than the UH-60L Black Hawk, according to Lockheed Martin.
The company "completely removed the cockpit, the pilot, and also the crew chief stations of the aircraft" and added clamshell doors on the nose, said Sikorsky Advanced Programs Business Development director Ramsey Bentley.
