SpaceX has announced plans for regular commercial cargo missions to the Moon starting in 2028 and to Mars in 2030, with a cost of $100 million per ton.
The company aims to develop refueling and launch capabilities for the SpaceX Starship, with an unmanned test mission scheduled for 2026. This mission will require 8-12 refueling launches to send a Starship to Mars by the end of 2026.
They will charge $100 million per ton.
If successful, each fully fueled Starship could generate $10 billion to $20 billion in revenue per mission, depending on the payload capacity.
