Young Bulgarians are increasingly investing in financial markets instead of property, a European survey reveals.
A global fintech company conducted the survey between January and July with 1,000 respondents, showing 39% of Bulgarians still prefer real estate investments.
However, over 40% of people under 34 choose to invest in shares and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), citing ease of access and flexibility.
Financial instruments provide greater flexibility compared to property investments and require significantly smaller initial sums.
Experts attribute this shift to the rapid development of the fintech industry, making financial markets more accessible to young people.
