Panthers to be tested by Wichita Carroll

Panthers to Face Wichita Carroll

Great Bend's football team, led by coach Erin Beck, is set to host Wichita Carroll in a second-round 5A showdown at Memorial Stadium.

According to coach Beck,

"It's 5A West playoff time. We're at the point where we'll have to play four quarters. Our kids are fresh and ready to go."

The Panthers have a notable history with Wichita Carroll, having won the 2006 state football championship game after defeating them 21-14. However, Carroll leads the all-time series 5-2.

The Eagles' offense is run-oriented and features dual-threat quarterback John Corrigan, who scored two touchdowns in their 24-20 victory over Derby, and main backfield threat Cooper Herrman.
