President Paul Kagame met with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha on November 4 to discuss strengthening ties between the two countries.
The talks, held on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development, focused on the "excellent relations" between Rwanda and Qatar, as well as areas of collaboration such as aviation, infrastructure, and investment.
The meeting took place during a high-level UN summit, where world leaders gathered to discuss advancing social development amid global inequalities and slowing progress on the Sustainable Development Goals.
Rwanda and Qatar have seen steady expansion in their relations in recent years.
