Concordia University has created Quebec's first School of Performance, bringing together the Departments of Contemporary Dance, Music, and Theatre under one roof.
The school, set to open in September 2026, responds to the growing demand for a more collaborative and flexible education in the performing arts, according to Annie Gérin, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
The merger will create new opportunities for interdisciplinary projects across all three departments, ranging from experimental showcases to collaborative productions in a variety of performance settings.
