Wesleyan Fall Sports Weekend Recap
Seven Wesleyan fall sports teams entered the NESCAC Championship Season in late October.
The Wesleyan field hockey team sought their first NESCAC playoff win in 20 years, facing familiar foe Williams Ephs. The Cardinals had lost to the Ephs in the past two years but entered the matchup with an 8-game winning streak.
The Cardinals came out flying and broke through in the 11th minute off a beautifully designed play.
- Georgia Adams '26 inserted the ball on a penalty corner to Emily Smith '29.
- Smith took two touches, then passed to Brooke Miner '28.
- Miner fired the ball towards the left post, where Meera Patel '29 redirected it into the goal, putting the Cardinals up 1–0.
