The Jumbos secured a victory against No. 1 NESCAC-ranked Wesleyan in a five-set match, winning 25–22, 25–21, 25–21, 25–22, 15–12.
Tufts, ranked No. 4 in the NESCAC and No. 1 in the national top 25 poll, handed Wesleyan its only conference loss of the season.
“Going into this match, we really focused on embracing the opportunity to play against a strong opponent who would help us level up our game. We knew that we would have to execute efficiently in order to succeed and limit our unforced errors,”
said head coach Cora Thompson. Tufts started strong, winning the first 4 points with three kills from sophomore opposite hitter Maiwenn Kamdje and a stuff block.
