Chad Shuts Border with Nigeria
The Nation Newspaper reports that Chad has shut its border with Nigeria due to a threat from Trump.
A counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, stated that Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno ordered a complete military lockdown along the Nigerian border.
“no armed group or foreign force will be allowed to enter Chadian soil under any disguise.”
According to Makama, the Chadian Army has been placed on red alert, with troops and armoured vehicles deployed across key border corridors linking the two countries.
This decision was made after intelligence suggested that terrorist elements from Northern Nigeria were preparing to flee into Chad.
