Brave Postmistress Confronts Armed Robber
A 65-year-old man, Barry Reddan, has pleaded guilty to attempted robbery at Letterkenny Circuit Court.
The incident occurred on November 11th, 2020, at Clonmany Post Office, where postmistress Mary Brennan was threatened by the gunman.
"Hand the money over, I'm from the IRA. Hand the money over."
However, the brave postmistress stood her ground, telling the robber "You're getting no money".
- The man was wearing a 'monkey hat' and surgical mask during the incident.
