UPDATE: Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in Downtown Whitehorse

A pedestrian was treated for non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle at an intersection in downtown Whitehorse, according to Yukon RCMP spokesperson Calista MacLeod.

The incident occurred at around 12:50 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Elliott Street. The driver stayed on the scene, and a portion of 2nd Avenue was closed to traffic.

The police investigation has wrapped up and traffic is no longer impacted, MacLeod confirmed at about 3 p.m.
