Ticketmaster and Live Nation Face Copyright Lawsuit
Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation are facing a lawsuit over the use of rotating barcode technology on its SafeTix platform.
A lawsuit filed by EChanging Barcode LLC claims that the ticketing company has infringed on its patent for rotating barcodes to prevent users from fraudulently screenshotting tickets.
- The lawsuit was submitted to the federal US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
- The filing accuses Ticketmaster of ripping off US Patent No. 9,047,715 from inventor Alan Amron.
