Opinion: We Failed Kyren Lacy
As a writer for The Battalion, I am expected to focus on topics relevant to the Texas A&M campus. However, I feel compelled to address a situation that transcends campus boundaries and has significant societal implications.
Kyren Lacy, a former LSU football wide receiver and NFL hopeful, was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run with death, and reckless operation of a vehicle in connection with a fatal car crash involving 78-year-old veteran Herman Hall.
This is bigger than you can imagine, and it would be unacceptable for me not to use my voice to address something that means so much to me.
