AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and Merck have committed $120 million to develop an advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing training center in Central Virginia.
According to a memorandum of understanding signed by the companies and state entities, the training center will support the development of a skilled workforce in the region.
The pharmaceutical giants, each planning to build manufacturing facilities in Virginia, are partnering with the state government, including the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corp.
