New York Governor Names Photonics Winners
Luminate NY OPI Accelerator competition announced its winners, with Pensievision receiving $1 million in investment.
Pensievision, named "Company of the Year" at Luminate Finals 2025, will use the funding to grow in the region by engaging with local supply chains and partnering with Rochester-based firms.
The company plans to "anchor its growth in the region by engaging with local supply chains, hiring engineering talent from area universities, and partnering with Rochester-based design and manufacturing firms"
Luminate NY, administered by NextCorps, is the world's largest business accelerator for emerging companies with optics, photonics, and imaging technologies.
Pensievision has developed a 3D imaging approach for demanding environments, including medical diagnostics, factory floors, and orbital missions.
