Luke Bryan was born in July 1976 in Leesburg, Georgia, to parents LeClaire Bryan and Tommy Bryan. He was the youngest sibling, with brother Chris Bryan and sister Kelly Bryan.
When Luke was 19, his brother Chris died in a car accident in 1996. This led Luke to pause his move to Nashville and attend college at Georgia Southern University instead.

Luke shared on the Today show in August 2021. A decade after Chris’ death, Luke’s sister Kelly suddenly passed away in 2007. Her husband, Ben Cheshire, died seven years later, leaving behind their children, Jordan, Kris, and Til.
