Alan Turing Institute Overhaul
The Alan Turing Institute (ATI) has announced a new science and innovation programme to strengthen the UK's national security, public health, and resilience amid global change.
The programme aims to build capabilities across defence, national security, environment, and health, and ensures the UK benefits from advances in AI and data science.
Peter Kyle, then-secretary of state for Science, Innovation and Technology, called for major reforms in the institute's priorities in July.
This new direction follows a period of organisational turmoil and change at the institute, tightening its strategic focus.
