Reformative Training for Youth Who Posed as Female Sex Worker Online
A 20-year-old youth, Shaun Oh Yan Zhe, was ordered to undergo reformative training for at least six months for cheating three men of $800.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of cheating involving two victims and a separate charge linked to money laundering in September.
The youth had posed as a female sex worker online and cheated the men after they wanted to engage "her" services.
Young offenders ordered to go through reformative training are detained in a centre to undergo a strict regimen that can include foot drills and counselling.
The incident was reported and the youth was sentenced on Oct 29, 2025.
