A military attack on a detention center in Sa'ada, Yemen, resulted in the deaths of 61 immigrants and injured dozens of Ethiopian civilians, according to a report by Amnesty International.
The strike, conducted during the Trump administration's Operation Rough Rider, was an indiscriminate attack under international humanitarian law and should be investigated as a war crime, says Amnesty.
"I was buried under the rubble and after about one hour my brother came and pulled me out," one of the survivors told Amnesty. "I had a head injury and I lost sight in one eye. It is a miracle we survived and got out of that place."
Amnesty International calls for an investigation into the attack, emphasizing the need to hold those responsible accountable for the violation of humanitarian law.
