Elon Musk's Grokipedia, a rival to Wikipedia, had a turbulent debut, briefly crashing before coming back online. The site contains over 885,000 articles.
Musk has criticized Wikipedia for alleged bias, calling Grokipedia "a massive improvement" and "a necessary step towards the xAI goal of understanding the Universe."
Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales has called Musk's claims "factually incorrect."
Content Controversy
The launch has been mired in controversy over the provenance of its content, with some entries being nearly identical to their Wikipedia counterparts.
According to The Verge, this has raised questions about the originality of Grokipedia's content.
