Alexei Popyrin Loses to Alexander Bublik in Paris
Alexei Popyrin has been knocked out of the Paris Masters by Alexander Bublik, who won the match 6-4, 6-3.
Aleksandar Vukic, on the other hand, has made it to the second round after beating French wildcard Terence Atmane 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
The match between Popyrin and Bublik ended on a sour note, as Bublik celebrated his win and then walked off the court without shaking hands with Popyrin, instead shaking hands with the chair umpire.
Some of the crowd booed the lack of a handshake, as Bublik then walked back on court and raised his arms in the air to celebrate.
Bublik served 13 aces to Popyrin's three and broke at 5-4 in the first set, which proved to be a crucial moment in the match.
