Fat Squirrel Week in Texas
Texas state parks have launched Fat Squirrel Week, where 16 parks compete for the title of the chunkiest squirrel.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department started the competition on October 19 with a Facebook post, saying:
It's Texas' turn to showcase the fluffiest, chubbiest SQUIRRELS around!The competition is similar to the famous Katmai National Park Fat Bear Week. Chuckosaurus Rex from Dino Valley was voted the state's chubbiest critter.
