Last week, I attended the UK government's first-ever regional investment summit in Birmingham, led by West Midlands mayor Richard Parker and Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
The event provided insights into the government's growth plan and electoral strategy for business leaders and prospective investors.
In contrast to last year's summit, which focused on the UK's global ambitions and attracting international capital, this year's message was different.
The message focused on attracting international capital and highlighting to global investors the wide range of opportunities and innovation they can be a part of.
The summit offered a welcome vision for growth, and now it's time to deliver on that promise.
