“Seeded” exhibit showcases impact of investment

Exhibit Highlights Impact of Investment

The "Seeded: Art After Investment" exhibit is currently on display in the Harry Krug Gallery until November 10. This showcase, created by students and faculty, demonstrates the significant creative outcomes that can result from a small investment.

A $25,000 Infrastructure Grant from the university's Research and Economic Development division funded new equipment for the exhibit. The Art Department strategically allocated the grant across several studios, including Printmaking, Jewelry/Metals, Illustration, and Ceramics, to maximize its impact.

"The works on view represent not only individual artistic achievement but also the expanded possibilities afforded by new tools and technologies in our studios and galleries," said Department Chair Jamie Oliver.

A public reception is planned for Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Author's summary: Exhibit showcases art made possible by investment.
