Abbas Names Hussein al-Sheikh as Temporary Successor
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has appointed Hussein al-Sheikh as his temporary successor.
Hussein al-Sheikh, a longtime Palestinian political figure and former prisoner in Israel, was previously appointed Deputy Chairman by Abu Mazen last year.
