Yorgos Lanthimos Needs a Break from Filmmaking

After releasing his third consecutive award-worthy film with Emma Stone, Yorgos Lanthimos is due for a break.

The 5x Oscar nominee admitted he needs "a little break" after the wide release of Bugonia on October 31.

Well, I can’t keep doing that anymore. [Laughs] That’s what we’re certain of right now.

Lanthimos told Collider he intends to take a break, adding:

It’s a big mistake. I’ve said that before in between the other three, but I’m serious now. I’m going to take a little break.

Hold me to it, he says after Poor Things (2023) and Kinds of Kindness (2024).
