Pablito Wins First Gold in 2025 Batang Pinoy
Divine Andrea Pablito, a 17-year-old from Bago City, has won the first gold medal in the girls' U18 discus throw at the 2025 Batang Pinoy.
Pablito, the daughter of farmers from Negros Occidental, threw 32.19 meters in her first attempt, securing the top spot among over 40 qualifiers from across the Philippines.
- Trisha Nalla of Maasin City, Leyte, took second place with 31.26m.
- Gwenn Julia Salac of Tarlac Province came in third with 30.05m.
It's the first mint ever for the Grade 12 student from the Ramon Torres National High School, who had won nothing in her previous campaigns.
Pablito's victory marks a significant milestone in her athletic career, ending a string of disappointments and miseries.
