South Carolina Football Loses to Alabama Crimson Tide
The South Carolina football team (3-5) lost to the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide (7-1) 29-22 at home on Saturday evening.
The game was a back-and-forth contest, with the Gamecocks holding the lead in the fourth quarter. The Gamecocks started strong, with redshirt sophomore quarterback LaNorris Sellers completing four out of his first seven passes on the opening drive, leading to a field goal by redshirt senior placekicker William Joyce.
However, the Crimson Tide quickly responded with a pick-six, as Sellers' pass was tipped by graduate running back Rahsul Faison and intercepted by redshirt senior defensive back DaShawn Jones.
The Gamecocks held the lead in the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell short.
The final score was 29-22 in favor of the Crimson Tide.
