Attack by Israeli Colonists Injures Two Elderly Men

Two elderly Palestinians were injured in an attack by Israeli colonists near the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

A WAFA correspondent reported that armed colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers, assaulted residents in the Al-Qurainat area, injuring Abdullah Ghneimat, 82, and his brother Ibrahim, 72.

Both were transferred to hospital for treatment. The colonists also set fire to a vehicle and smashed the windows of two homes in the neighborhood, according to Hazem Ghneimat, the mayor of Surif.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhmara told WAFA that colonists assaulted a peace activist during a raid on a home in the village of Susiya, south of Hebron, causing him bruises.
