Fire at Inglewood Commercial Building Injures 2 Firefighters

A fire broke out at a commercial building in Inglewood on Friday morning, sending up a thick plume of black smoke and injuring two firefighters.

"So at 10:28 this morning, units responded to the 4300 block of Century Boulevard and to a commercial building fire. Upon arrival, the first arriving engine, they did see smoke from the commercial building. With access issues and the fire growing in intensity inside, and fire going through the roof, they called for a second alarm assignment at 11:02,"

said Capt. Devid Dantic with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A massive firefighting response rushed to the scene to battle the flames.

According to Capt. Dantic, over 90 firefighters were on scene, with a second alarm assignment in a defensive posture, ensuring that the exposures were taken care of.
