The Dodgers have left lefty relief pitcher Alex Vesia off their World Series roster due to a "deeply personal family matter."
It's certainly on our hearts and we miss him, and we'll be thinking about him
Manager Dave Roberts stated that Vesia is "most likely" to miss the entire series. The team adjusted their bullpen, adding right-handers Edgardo Henriquez and Will Kl.
Vesia's absence could only be ended by being added to the roster as a replacement for an injured player, as the Dodgers chose not to put him on family bereavement leave.
