Establishment of New Universities in Ghana
The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, announced that President John Dramani Mahama has dedicated a grant from the Chinese Government to establish new universities in Ghana.
The grant, worth 200 million Renminbi (RMB), equivalent to $27-30 million USD, will support Ghana's higher education sector.
The Chinese government demonstrated "benevolence and generosity" by offering Ghana the financial package during the President's visit to China.
