A 77-year-old woman, Linda Dennett, arrested after an 'ambush' on July 1 that killed a Darlington County deputy, has died in an assisted living facility in North Carolina.
According to the Fourth Circuit Solicitor's Office, Dennett was moved to the facility last month but remained in police custody. She was being held for not being truthful about the whereabouts of her son, 25-year-old Cameron Dennett, when deputies arrived to serve warrants against him.
