Fatal Crash in Whitley County
A man is dead and a woman is injured after a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle in Whitley County on Tuesday morning.
A 67-year-old woman from Churubusco was driving an SUV south on S.R. 205 when she attempted to turn left onto Blue Lake Road, according to the Whitley County Sheriff's Department Dispatch.
Brian O'Connor, 53, from Columbia City, was traveling north on a motorcycle when the SUV driver failed to yield and struck him. O'Connor died from his injuries.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
