Gigaba Hails Mthethwa's Lasting Impact at KwaMbonambi Farewell

South Africa's ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, will be laid to rest today in KwaMbonambi, northern KZN.

Mthethwa died last week in Paris, and his body was repatriated on Friday. Prior to his appointment as ambassador to France, he served as a minister in various portfolios, including Police and Arts, Culture, and Sport.

President Cyril Ramaphosa declared a special official category two funeral for Mthethwa and is expected to deliver the eulogy today.

Speaking to SABC News, the ANC's Malusi Gigaba said that Mthethwa's contributions to South Africa mustn't be forgotten.
